چکیده
Ozone is the most damaging phytotoxic air pollutant to crop yield quantity and quality. This study presents validation of a simulation with WRF-CHIMERE modelling system in order assess risk phytotoxicity by tropospheric ozone for an important characteristic Mediterranean crop, i.e. grapevine. The region was Douro wine Portugal, which characterized rugged relief climate. covered reference grapevine growing season Northern Hemisphere (from April September 2017), during particular measuring campaign also carried out. meteorological simulations on daily hourly time resolution performed based data from three weather stations, namely temperature, global solar radiation, relative humidity, wind speed direction values. assessed two stations. A specific growth parameter monitored phenological observations introduced stomatal uptake assessment. Concerning meteorology, statistics were acceptable within range what has been found other regional climate simulations. Ground-level ozone-based values calculated better assessment risk, cumulative standards vegetation protection. Stomatal flux estimates those measured local cultivars field when there not severe water stress limitation. Both statistically adjusted model indicate that considerable areas Demarcated Region Portugal can exceed critical exposure according current European legislation standards. Moreover, simulated results impact quality target because exposure- flux-based indices criteria open-top-chamber experimental knowledge.

testing plays a vital role in any language teaching program. it allows teachers and stakeholders, including program administrators, parents, admissions officers and prospective employers to be assured that the learners are progressing according to an accepted standard (douglas, 2010). the problems currently facing language testers have both practical and theoretical implications but the first i...
Linking the advanced research WRF meteorological model with the CHIMERE chemistry-transport model
CHIMERE is a chemical transport model widely used within the air quality scientific community. The actual version of CHIMERE is coupled with the MM5 mesoscale meteorological model. To facilitate model development, MM5 is replaced here with the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model. With the accuracy of air quality models being highly dependent on the quality of meteorological drivers, th...

The BSC-CNS is involved in the CALIOPE project (Baldasano et al., 2008), a national Spanish initiative that has as main objective to establish an air quality forecasting system for Spain coordinated by the Ministry of the Environment. The modeling system bases on the WRF-ARW model as meteorological driver (Figure 1). As is well known, air quality models are highly dependent on the quality of th...
